Welcome

Dear Parents and Carers,

I am very proud to welcome you to the website of Castle Cary Community Primary School. I hope it will give you an insight into our school’s vision through painting a picture of the exciting opportunities offered to our pupils so that they develop into creative, ambitious and intelligent learners

Set in the thriving market town of Castle Cary in the heart of the Somerset countryside, we are an important part of the local community and we pride ourselves on the friendly and welcoming atmosphere in our school, where our pupils feel valued and safe.

Our dynamic and talented staff teach a creative and varied curriculum, enriched through a range of experiences both and in and out of the classroom. Our supportive yet challenging environment promotes our expectation that all children should be able to make outstanding progress.

We have adopted the principles of a Rights Respecting School, creating an ethos which encourages positive responses, respect and good manners.  Children recognise their responsibilities in contributing to a successful community, taking ownership over strategic decisions within school.

It is our aim to develop inquisitive, resourceful and sociable young people, fully equipped with learning skills for life.  We look forward to welcoming you and your child to our happy and successful school.
